Attila is a doctoral student and  researcher at the Central European University (CEU) and a senior consultant at the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Climate-KIC on developing and benchmarking transversal competency frameworks for sustainable innovation and entrepreneurship. His research at CEU aims to understand what factors influence the deployment of urban nature-based solutions and what systemic interventions could catalyse the process through conducting internationally comparative action research in cities such as Győr (Hungary), Tianjin (China) and Winnipeg (Canada). His work experience also includes several years of EU- or UN-funded research and innovation project management at various international organizations in the field of sustainable development, social innovation, smart cities, and urban transition. He holds a master’s degree with the highest honours in regional and environmental economics and a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering. As a hyper-engaged citizen, Attila coordinated grassroots groups, as well as several international and national networks – he is currently a council member of the Hungarian Green Movement. He is an avid traveller, who enjoys swimming, hiking, video games and board games.
