Dávid took his school leaving exams in the specialised Maths class at Fazekas Secondary School (Budapest) in 2009. He then started studying physics at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, but didn’t finish, as he was admitted to the Mathematics Tripos at the University of Cambridge, where he graduated as a pure mathematician. Currently, he is studying for a Masters degree in pure mathematics at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest. His main areas of interest are abstract algebra and number theory, but he also does research in combinatorics. He previously worked as a software engineering intern at Hewlett-Packard in Cambridge. As a multiple national champion he represented Hungary at the European Youth Olympics Festival in athletics and also contributed to several Cambridge wins at the Oxford-Cambridge Varsity matches for which, amongst others, he was awarded a Full Blue. Besides this, he has played the cello since the age of 7. Having played in several orchestras in Cambridge, he is now a member of the Symphonic Orchestra of the Budapest University of Technology.
