What is genetic engineering? Us humans have modified the genetic material of countless animals and plants through selective breeding, so how exactly is genetic engineering different from that? What are possibilities and limitations of the new genetic engineering tools that have been recently developed? What are the risks and concerns? These are the questions that we address during the Genetic Engineering module through a lot of discussions and examples from real life.

Mentoring is a diverse and complex task with a well-defined goal: to help students find and achieve their path. Mentoring includes academic advising, coaching, keeping up motivation, and listening. In our panel discussion, the Institute’s mentors give advice to students embarking on a journey of self-discovery and talk about what obstacles they have to overcome to achieve their goals. Whether you are a parent or a student, you can be sure to take away useful knowledge from the experiences our mentors share.

Ventures(s)! Is a cooperative learning experience in which students in teams of three to four manage FORTUNE 500 companies in a simulated business environment. During the one and a half hour session, teams face business and societal challenges and have to find solutions together.

Our exclusive workshop, inspired by our renowned Civilizations course, is designed to offer an immersive and engaging learning experience. Dive headfirst into a cooperative, game-based, and entertaining learning adventure. You’ll get to experience the highs and lows of governance, just like real leaders. As leaders of your state, you’ll face a range of historical problems and challenges. Your responsibility is to craft effective solutions.
