Dr. András Árpád Sipos

Module leader

András graduated from Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), where he studied engineering and mathematics. He holds a PhD in Engineering and spent his postdoc years at Cornell University.
He is currently a research associate at the MTA-BME Morphodynamics Research Group and the head of the BME Department of Morphology and Geometric Modeling.
His research focuses on the mathematical modelling of natural phenomena and innovations in engineering. In recent years, some striking forms in nature, such as boulders, ooids, and asteroids have drawn him to participate in modelling their shape evolution.
