Dániel Takács


Dániel defended his PhD thesis on the philosophical rhetoric of the 18th century author, A. A. C. Shaftesbury at ELTE. He holds MA degrees in History and Philosophy from the University of Szeged. He was a member of the College of Social Sciences in Szeged, and later on, participated in the organization of numerous scientific conferences. In addition to professional studies, he enjoys writing reviews about books on philosophy or art. His research area is primarily the development of 18th-century Anglo-Saxon aesthetic and political-philosophical discourse. He also dealt extensively with modern-postmodern art theories and art movements. He is particularly interested in the relationship between philosophy and the natural sciences, as well as the practical applicability of philosophy in the 21st-century. Dániel’s passion is road cycling and hiking.
