Gergely Kertész

Gergely holds a PhD in philosophy of science from Durham University (UK). He worked as a tutor and/or lecturer at Budapest University of Technology, Eötvös Loránd University, Durham University and various colleges for advanced learning. In the last four years, he also worked as a business trainer and coach mainly focused on the development of argumentation and presentation skills of mid-level managers and their immediate staff. As a philosopher, Gergely’s real passion lies in the intersection between epistemology and cognitive science. At present, he is interested in evolutionary accounts of culture, learning and cognitive abilities, in theories of causation and causal thinking and the possible functions of non-ordinary states of consciousness.
