Katalin holds a BSc in Biology from Georgia Southern University, USA and a MSc in Ecology from Eötvös Loránd University, ELTE, Hungary. She has a PhD from the Department of Plant Systematics, Ecology and Theoretical Biology at ELTE, focusing on network analysis of aquatic ecosystems. Katalin worked abroad for many years as part of international collaborative projects in Europe and at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She enjoys being outdoors, likes swimming, skiing and hiking.
