Throughout the sessions, we will focus on different types of maps and their methods of interpreting the world, including techniques such as generalisation, distortion, and symbolization. Maps are essential for understanding the world and also reveal how societies construct realities by using recently available data and methods. Drawing on the analogy of a good story, both maps, and stories provide an immersive, clear, and well-structured interpretation of the world, teaching things that might otherwise go unnoticed.
