This course will provide a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical micro-foundations of economic behavior and their impact for sound policy making. This Advanced Economics Module applies the core concepts of microeconomics to a series of policy making issues. I will explain the behavioral aspects of socio-economic processes, since these are essential for good policy-making. This course will equip students with applications of microeconomic theory to understand and analyze public policies. Students would get insights for the application of microeconomic theory to analyse and solve policy problems. This would be highly recommended not only for students wishing to study Economics, but also Social Policy, Public Policy, Public Administration, and Political Science.
