Before moving to the UK, Boglárka studied English Literature and trained in Classical Piano Performance in Budapest. She graduated from the University of York with a degree in History of Art. During and after her undergraduate studies she worked in various cultural institutions and contemporary art galleries both in the UK and in Hungary, as well as in the world of art auctions, working for a time at Christie’s London.

She completed her MSt in Creative Writing at the University of Oxford, and has been focusing on writing in multiple genres and on translation work since. Her interests and research include intersectional areas of the arts, architecture, music, and psychology, as well as the possibilities the arts hold in bringing about social change. In her free time she loves to travel, make music, and she loves a good story, whether on screen, on page, on stage, or in the form of audio storytelling.
