Dezső was a Research Fellow, and a Course Leader (Bibo Free University) at the Central European University – Romani Studies Program. Between 2018-2020 he was an International Program Consultant and mentor at Open Society Foundations – Community Youth Fellowship. Between 2013-2018 he worked at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences – Center of Social Sciences Institute for Minority Studies as a Researcher. In the period of 2015-2017 he was a Visiting Research Associate at the University of Sussex – Doctoral School Program – Centre for Higher Education and Equity Research. Between 2011 and 2015 he worked with T- Tudok Centre for Knowledge Management and Educational Research Centre. Dezső delivered his PhD at the Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program – Faculty of Social Sciences. He earned his MA’s at University of Pécs – Romani Studies – Communication and Media Studies – Film Theory – teacher. Dezső also gained further study experiences in the Netherlands at the Fontys University of Applied Social Sciences Studies. Dezső’s research interests focus on: Resilience and successfulness, Romani Identity constructions, Intersectionality, Social movements.
