Péter holds a PhD in Human Geography from Stockholm University (2014) and is currently a postdoc at the Institute for Regional Studes of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. His main fields of interest are Border studies, Political geography, and Critical geopolitics. Through studying borders, migration, and geopolitical narratives, Péter’s research revolves around the questions what kind of ideologies and narratives are binding – or meant to bind – various groups of people together, which actors produce such discourses, and with what goals and consequences.
