Academic Writing
The Academic Writing module is compulsory for all students entering the Milestone Institute in Freshman, Sophomore or Junior years (and optionally recommended for students in Senior year) and takes precedence over all other module choices. Students will learn how to enter a conversation, master the skill of engaging with the ideas of others, and be comfortable with asserting their own ideas. We will demystify academic writing by focusing on both macro- and micro-structures of argumentative essays, practising analytical thinking, and sourcing credible information.
