Create, Curate, Coordinate

Do you plan to study art, design, or similar fields? Can you imagine yourself working in the creative field? Do you enjoy planning structures, creating something new, and expressing your ideas visually?
Create, Curate, Coordinate builds on critical theory, creative practice, and project management. Participants of the module will design and implement a creative project that comments on the idea of how entities other than biological human beings enact change in the world; i.e. how the philosophical concept of “posthumanism” can appear in a creative project.
This module is designed to help you…
CREATE: practice your creative skills, generate ideas, ask design questions, and express complex ideas visually. We will experiment with forms of social and critical engagement allowed by art. Students will create artistic projects that elaborate or comment on any aspect of the human-nature relationship, be it historical or contemporary.
CURATE: organize and edit your ideas, follow and create variations on a concept, rethink and redesign your plans by mastering a mindset of curating your own work and your own portfolio in order to more clearly express your message.
COORDINATE: You will be your own project manager. 🙂 You will plan your project, manage it, solve problems, reorganize it, and finally present your outcome.
The module enhances your creative thinking and problem-solving skills and invites you to be curious and take risks. It also provides opportunities to improve your presentation skills and practice time management, organizing your work, and keeping deadlines.
The module is open for students interested in animation, architecture, comics, design, fashion, filmmaking, fine arts, graphic design, illustration, interaction design, media design, painting, photography, pottery, product design, sculpting etc.
