What will you find out?

We help you make sense of the most important questions.

The Open Day is designed to help families understand Milestone’s academic approach, students’ everyday experience, and the path towards future study in one coherent journey.

01

What if I do not yet know what I am really interested in?

One of Milestone’s most important roles is to help you discover exactly that. Through our modules, you encounter disciplines, questions and ways of thinking that you may rarely, if ever, come across at school. You can explore very different fields and gradually notice which questions keep drawing you back. Over time, curiosity can develop into deeper knowledge and a direction of your own.

02

How can a personal mentor help?

A mentor is an adult thinking partner who follows your development over time and helps you make sense of your experiences. Together, you can discuss which modules have interested you, which projects may be worth joining, what questions occupy your mind and where you would like to go next. Mentoring helps connect your interests, decisions and longer-term goals. This is how the many different experiences at Milestone gradually become a path that is truly your own.

03

What kind of students will I meet at Milestone?

You will meet secondary school students with very different interests, united by two things: curiosity and openness. Some are fascinated by mathematics, others by politics, literature, biology, economics, art, or the connections between them. Societies, projects and events create opportunities for these interests to meet and influence one another. One of the community’s greatest strengths is that asking questions, debating ideas, taking initiative and trying something new all feel natural.

04

How does an interest become a well-informed university decision?

We believe that choosing the right university starts much earlier than you might think. First, you need to understand more clearly which questions interest you, where your strengths lie, and what kind of environment will help you grow. From there, you can make informed choices about subject, country and university, and later build your application strategy. The aim is for you to finish the process with more than a list of universities: you should also understand why the options you chose are right for you.

Frequently asked questions

What you should know before registering.

Does one registration really cover both sessions?

Yes. Your registration reserves a place for both the online webinar on 30 September and the in-person Open Day on 10 October. We will send details of the two sessions by email.

What if we can only attend one of the two sessions?

Your registration will still be valid. The webinar and the in-person Open Day complement each other, so we recommend attending both, but there is no need to register again if you miss one session.

Is Milestone a traditional school?

Milestone is an English-language academic development and career orientation programme designed to complement secondary school. Students continue attending their own schools, while Milestone adds modules, mentoring and community opportunities.

How does the programme fit alongside secondary school?

Sessions usually take place after school or on Saturdays. The exact time commitment depends on the programme and year group; during the Open Day, we will explain the weekly workload and structure of the academic year in detail.

What level of English is required?

A significant part of Milestone’s academic and community programme takes place in English. The required level depends on the year group and programme, and practical language proficiency is also assessed during admissions.

How much do the programmes cost, and what scholarships are available?

We will provide detailed, up-to-date information about tuition fees and financial support during the Open Day. Milestone offers several scholarship and support opportunities.

When can I apply for the 2027/28 academic year?

We will share the detailed admissions timeline and deadlines for the 2027/28 academic year at the Open Day and in the follow-up communication afterwards.
