Core Mentor
Réka graduated from Harvard University, where she concentrated in sociology and the comparative study of religion. Her main areas of focus were South-East Asian Buddhism and the social and religious changes related to globalisation. She spent a term studying at Khon Kaen University in Thailand, where she later also conducted her thesis research on the effects of contemporary social changes on Buddhism.
After earning her BA and MA, she returned to Hungary. She worked as a simultaneous interpreter and translator in public opinion research and market research for a decade and a half, before finding her real calling in education, specifically in working with teenagers. She taught at the Waldorf School of Pesthidegkút for six years.
Her favourite pastimes are rollerblading and having conversations. She spends her free time either with her partner and five kids or with her friends, and likes to do yoga in nature, preferably on the bank of a river or lake.
